100 Yorkville

100 Yorkville is now a newer  luxurious condominium building located on Yorkville on the historic site of the Old Mount Sinai Hospital between Avenue Road and Bay Street. An ULTRA chic development created by Hariri Pontarini architects, the 100 Yorkville project consists of an 8-storey West building (100 Yorkville) and a 17-storey East building (80 Yorkville). To completely enclose the courtyard and gardents, elegant townhomes will be built along Scollard Street.

The development comprises two esidential towers, six townhomes, retail stores and an interior courtyard. The condominium suites were designed to accommodate the tastes of both traditional and contemporary buyers.

The  $1000 question is - did the architects succeed?

Ceilings soar to 10-feet high, but is this really soaring?

Double French pocket doors connect the living room
with the Gluckstein designed kitchen. Master retreats
feature en-suites with domed ceilings and freestanding
bathtubs.(It certainly looked good in the brochures - if only the builders had access to Photoshop and other retouching design programs - get my drift?)

Everything about 100 Yorkville  supposedly
whispers luxury and refinement - well, I'm a born sceptic, someone has not been living up to the claims in the press releases.

The six townhomes along Scollard Street
that feature five levels of Georgian style architecture
with 10' ceilings and private elevators. The Gluckstein
interiors, complete with all the features one would
expect in homes of this stature are absolutely
stunning. Along the Yorkville facade are two full floors of
upscale shopping space, featuring showcase windows
and interiors. Building amenities include a 24-hour
concierge and valet services, hotel style guest suites,
resident's lounge with prep kitchen, boardroom and a
fitness centre with the latest work out equipment, yoga
floor, wet steam sauna, lap pool and whirlpool.
